Health Science Expo Helps Area High School Students Focus on Future Careers
Posted April 26th, 2008 by Darwin BrownCouncil Bluffs, IA - On Tuesday, April 29, sophomores, juniors and seniors from eighteen area high schools will join metro area business leaders to focus on a future career in health science.
The Health Science Expo is part of a greater effort to develop the regional workforce by preparing students to be college and career ready to compete in the global, high-tech marketplace.
2008 BPA Regional Competition Held at IWCC
Posted February 25th, 2008 by Jamie DonahueThe first annual BPA Regional Competition was held on February 8, 2008 at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs. There were six schools in Area 13 who participated including Lewis Central, Sidney, South Page, Clarinda, Fremont-Mills, and Shenandoah. The students competed in various individual and team events in areas such as finance, information technology, administrative support, and management/marketing/human resources.
Listed below are the 2008 BPA Regional events and the top three place winners.
